The AFX protocol, which runs on the Arbitrum network, has suffered a hacker attack. According to Blockaid, the attacker drained around 24.15M USDC through a bridge operated by the project itself.

Blockaid's experts said the issue lies specifically with the AFX bridge, not with Arbitrum's infrastructure. The company's specialists are now investigating the incident together with the network's team and helping to coordinate the next steps.
AFX offers the hacker a deal: return 70%, keep 30%
Offchain Labs CEO Steven Goldfeder said the Arbitrum team is already examining the circumstances of the attack. He stressed that Arbitrum's native bridge was not breached and that the incident affected only a third-party protocol.
In turn, AFX's head of development, Ken S., said the project had offered the attacker an agreement under its white hat program.
According to the AFX representative, the team's main priority is to return the funds to users as quickly as possible and to minimize the fallout of the attack for the community. The offer will be available for a limited time.
